Phew, three exhibitions, 1 book and 2 magazines later, and all is back to normal here and I’m trying to create some new work. I have just started on The Inexorable Tide of Dinner, and have begun to sort out the direction for The Fragility of Self Worth, both to be finished by the new year.
I’m having a reprint of the tea towels and they should be with me shortly, but supply is limited, so I’m taking pre-orders on the toh website. They should arrive in the next couple of weeks – just in time for your Christmas shopping?! (sorry, I shouldn’t have mentioned that word should I? It’s only September.)
In the meantime, Life 7 – On The Shelf, appears on the front cover of September’s issue of the leading Australian magazine, Textile. There’s a lovely article inside covering quite a few of the Life Story quilts too.
Talking of magazines, Through Our Hands, The Magazine, Issue 6 is OUT NOW!! Laura, Linda, and I have worked hard to pack this issue with interesting reads and places to visit. You can read the whole magazine on line here for FREE. It’s £3 for a pdf version to read off line on Kindles, computers, iPads, iPhones and similar. (nb, you might also need to pay a small amount extra towards your own country’s local taxes at the checkout. The amount varies.) It can be bought using the button below which takes you straight to the payment page.
Through Our Hands also has a book out which includes work from all 27 Affiliated Artists at TOH. It’s a beautifully illustrated, 82page, soft backed book and costs £10 plus a small amount for p&p. Here’s a look inside at some of the pages! You can buy it here.
