Hand dye-painted cloth, stitched with the worlds "structure", "domesticity" and "Women's work" (hardly distinguishable as stitched onto the cloth and then dyed) A response to the reaction of the art world to textiles and art quilts in particular. Machine stitched with Greek Key design which is used historically to symbolize the bonds of family.

My reaction to a piece of music by Thomas Tallis written to celebrate Queen Elizabeth 2st 40th birthday. It's a piece for 40 voices (8 choirs of 5 voices). Dyed fabric, with reverse applique, burnt holes, acrylic paint and stitch.
