Hogweed inset: pen, ink, stitch, acrylic paint, gold antiquing wax. Stems: paint, pen and ink with text - poetry. Main panel, stitch, discharged fabric, paints.
Exhibited Stratford upon Avon Close up of painted panel on right hand side. YELLOW DAISIES (sold)Dyed and painted fabrics. Raw edge applique, paint, heavy free machining.
A winner at Quilts in the Garden 2008. Exhibited Rugby Open 2008, and Stratford upon Avon.

Hand dye-painted cloth, stitched with the worlds "structure", "domesticity" and "Women's work" (hardly distinguishable as stitched onto the cloth and then dyed) A response to the reaction of the art world to textiles and art quilts in particular. Machine stitched with Greek Key design which is used historically to symbolize the bonds of family.Close up showing text.  40 VOICES(Sold - destination uk) 100cms x 138cms
My reaction to a piece of music by Thomas Tallis written to celebrate Queen Elizabeth 2st 40th birthday. It's a piece for 40 voices (8 choirs of 5 voices). Dyed fabric, with reverse applique, burnt holes, acrylic paint and stitch.
