I went into slight panic mode this afternoon. Life 14 needs to be started and I began by drawing an image onto white cloth. The photo shows the process although it looks a bit gawky at this stage. I have a rubber in my left hand and a pencil in my right and I’m not sure which hand I use most!
Often when I draw my mind wanders off, and I began to think about the exhibitions that are coming up next year, and realized that I hadn’t got enough quilts made to cover the 3 events that I’m committed to. Heck! There’s such a short time to go, so I allowed myself a quick panic. I just can’t work at the last minute against a deadline, I have to be organized and ahead of myself.
So I went through my list of titles and plans to see which ones would be best for which shows. I’ve made a slight change to those plans, but am not entirely convinced yet. It means I have to stop working on the above quilt which was going to be called “What Do You Mean, What’s For Dinner?”.
But, tomorrow is a new day, and I’ll begin again. I shall make Life 14, 15, and 16 in the next few months. Keep tuned if you’d like to see how “Making Time”, “Poisonous Plant”, and “The Life of Time Is Motion” develop.
Thanks for listening.
